Each unit of Heubach India at Ankleshwar are accredited by quality certificates of OHSAS 18001:2007 - for occupational health and safety management system, ISO 14001:2004 - for the environment management system and ISO 9001:2000 - for quality system. Until April 6, 2009 only Unit I was certified, but now all three Units have received the mentioned quality certificates. See Quality Management in the website to view these certificates. |

Heubach Colour Private Limited was conferred the Certificate of Merit for ‘Development of Indigenous Technology’ for the year 2007 by Indian Chemical Council which was presented by Shri S.C. Jamir, Governor of Maharashtra. The technology developed in-house has helped in reduction of waste by eighty percent along with value addition to the Aluminum Hydroxide manufacture. |

Mr. Ravi Kapoor, MD, Heubach Colour India, has been elected on the global executive board of the Ecological and Toxicological Association of Dyes and Organic Pigments Manufacturers (ETAD), Basel, Switzerland during its 87th ETAD board meeting held in Paris, France. ETAD is an international organization founded in 1947 consisting of 45 member companies, and is based in 16 countries worldwide. It is committed to make efforts to minimise adverse impact of organic colorants on health and environment. Members are obliged to follow a ‘Code of Ethics’ based on the principles of ‘Responsible Care’. |

The world’s most famous car makers, Volkswagen, Mercedes, General Motors and BMW use colours containing pigments manufactured by the Vadodara-based Heubach Colour (Pvt.) Ltd. The export oriented subsidiary of Germany’s Heubach group of Germany supplies pigments to paint companies, which ultimately cater to these big car makers. The group has now set up another unit in Ankleshwar which will produce pigments that will help paint the world red, yellow and purple. … Heubach has started a program for developing pigment concentrates for inkjet application and later, for colour filter application used in your plasma and LCD TV. … (Extract from Article: ref. To meet its demands, Heubach Colour, decided to build and operate its own 6MW on-site power plant. To gain maximum energy from the facility, a natural gas engine/generator system employing combined heat and power was selected. Through cogeneration, Heubach Colour, reaches 80% fuel efficiency. The CHP system uses the heat from the exhaust to generate steam that is used in various areas of production process. Heubach is also recovering heat from the engines cooling jacket and lube oil to produce hot water for use in the plant. This project was the first of its kind in India where fuel efficiency this high has been achieved in such an integrated way. |
